We are able to issue private prescriptions via Pharmacierge, a regulated online pharmacy. They will arrange delivery to your home. If you would prefer an NHS prescription we will write to your NHS GP with our treatment recommendations. After the initial 3-month period, private prescriptions incur a charge of £35.

We take payment at the time of booking. When you make an online booking with us it will ask for a card payment at the time.
If you make an appointment with our team over the phone we will take card details at the time and process payment. If it is not possible to process payment there and then you will be sent an invoice to be settled as soon as possible.

At Myla Health, we are committed to provide high quality, expert women’s healthcare and to do so we need to have a cancellation policy in place. We hope you understand the need for this; if appointments are cancelled or rescheduled at short notice, we are unable to use that time for other patients waiting for appointments.
If you are unable to attend an appointment already scheduled, please do try to give us as much notice as possible. We are happy to cancel and reschedule appointments at any time. There will be a charge depending on the time of cancellation.
• In the event that we receive less than 48 hours notice of cancellation, this occurs a 100% cancellation charge.
• Rescheduling an appointment more than 48 hours in advance of the appointment date does not incur a fee.

Blood tests are not usually required prior to assessment. However we are happy to arrange these if you would like. Please see our Blood Tests page for more information.

Some health insurance policies do not, unfortunately, cover menopause. Kindly check with your provider, and obtain an authorisation code, before booking the appointment. We are delighted to see that more policies are recognising the importance of menopause and offering cover - in particular WPA and Aviva both cover our services.
If you are not sure if the appointment will be covered, and have not obtained a code, please pay for your appointment up front and you may be able to claim the fee back from your policy if covered.
If your provider suggests an alternative clinician it is worth checking that they hold the BMS Menopause Specialist qualification as many practitioners in this field do not.

The initial consultation fee includes an email query within three months of the appointment, for anything that crops up after your first appointment. Please email info@mylahealth.co.uk if you have any queries.

Our clinicians prescribe regulated Body Identical HRT (sometimes called regulated Bio Identical HRT). This is made from plants and is identical in structure to the hormones of the body. All the hormone treatments that we prescribe are regulated and licensed so we know that they are safe and effective. We do not prescribe compounded Bioidentical hormones which are not regulated and are not recommended by the British Menopause Society.

Yes, several members of the Myla Health team have collaborated with pharmaceutical companies during their careers. This has primarily involved delivering educational talks aimed at helping healthcare professionals stay informed about the latest developments in menopause, women’s health, and sleep. Much of the education for clinicians in the UK is made possible by sponsorship from pharma companies and we are committed to improving education in our field.
We also see value in sharing our clinical experience with pharmaceutical companies as advisors, and participating in research, in order to pursue new treatments that might benefit women.
Our involvement with any company is always fully transparent and any fees paid do not influence our prescribing decisions. The medications we prescribe are the same ones we use in our NHS roles and we are guided by what is best for our patients, in line with national and international guidelines, as well as expert consensus.

Our services are open to all. Throughout the website we use the term women to refer to people assigned female at birth. We know that trans and non-binary people can also struggle during menopause and we are here to help. We pride ourselves on being inclusive.
-
We are only able to see you if you are on UK soil at the time of your appointment. You will need to have a UK address for any medication to be delivered

In our private hospital locations we are unable to see patients who are younger than 18, due to hospital regulations. So that is in Sevenoaks, Sheffield, Exeter, Haywards Heath and Montefiore Hospital, Hove.
However we do see anyone who is aged 13 and older via online appointment or in Hove Therapy Rooms location.

Every one of our doctors work in the NHS and we are absolutely dedicated to providing high quality menopause care for all women. We are also passionate about improving menopause care across the board and over the past 3 years, between us, we have given our free time to deliver over 100 educational sessions to NHS clinicians to upskill them and improve standards of care. We have campaigned both at local and national level in order to improve menopause services, and we also regularly support charities who work with people in the menopause. We know that sometimes women would like a bit more time and specialist expertise that is available in the NHS and provide this within our Myla Health appointments.
“I really appreciate your help, but it’s not just me; my husband, kids and friends have all seen the difference!”
